Venture from Reykjavik into the heart of Icelandic highlands, a land of mesmerizing views. Explore the stunning Landmannalaugar Nature Reserve and its breathtaking surroundings on this super jeep safari.
Discover one of Iceland's most beautiful and pristine places, untouched by human activity. Nature has crafted this masterpiece with lava fields from multiple volcanic eruptions and glacier rivers, creating waterfalls and valleys.
All of this incredible beauty awaits you! Ready for an unforgettable adventure? Let’s hit the road!
We’ll start the journey from Reykjavik around 8:50 a.m., where a super jeep will pick you up along with other adventurers. As we drive through the urban areas,we’ll stop at Selfoss, where you can grab lunch or snacks. From there, we descend into the picturesque Þjórsárdalur valley.
Our first sightseeing stop is Hjálparfoss, where two waterfalls pour into the same pond. It's easy to get lost in the falling waters alone, but with the hills in the background, it becomes one of the most fantastic sights on this tour.
Next, we’ll move to Sigöldufoss, one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Iceland. It was once part of a bigger glacier river. Instead of clean water like today, it used to flow with muddy water. You’ll have the chance to capture some photos of the cascades.
Now comes the fun part: exploring the Landmannalaugar Nature Reserve. It’s ideal for a super jeep. The region is the heart of the Icelandic Highlands, filled with steep coorful hills steep and ravines too treacherous for regular cars.
An expert guide will take you through the area, highlighting the more significant sights. We will make stops so you can stretch your legs, relax, and even dip into a geothermal pool. We’ll visit Ljótipollur, a crater lake with blue water. Fun fact: its name translates to "the Ugly Puddle."
We’ll round out our tour with a visit to Hekla, an active stratovolcano. Known as one of the most destructive forces in Iceland, it earned the nickname "the Gateway to Hell." But don’t worry; it’s safe to visit the area. You’ll get the chance to walk among the lava fields.
After that, it’s time to head back. We’ll return to Reykjavik around 7:40 p.m.
